writes:I have always felt attracted towards women, but have not actually come out to say I am a lesbien. I am still confused by it all but there is one person in my life that I can not help my feelings towards. My sister in law has three sisters and I feel extremly attracted to one of her younger sisters. We get on so well that her mum always says that if I was a boy she would get us two married and she herself has said that if I was a boy she would marry me. I go out of my way to make her happy, if anything upsets her, I make sure I fix it. If she wants something, I try to be the first to get it for her. I just don't know if I should tell her about how I really feel, what if she doesnt feel the same way? She has a boyfriend. I dont want to cause any problems in the family as things are already tough between the two families, what shall i do?

reader, anonymous, writes (7 November 2010): she has a boyfriend so it is unlikely she is a lesbian. She is in a relationship. Respect that barrier. If you move on her she is likely to end the friendship immediately. You would be so upset to find yourself excluded from her life. So yes, you need to keep quiet about your own sexual needs in her company. Go out and find a girl who is already out. That might give you the confidence to reveal that you are a lesbian.
