It used to be a plum color and now it's dark greyish/black. I know these are symptoms of something called Addison's disease which I am going to see a doctor for on Monday, but I'm wondering if it's something less serious and actually common with women. Has anyone experienced darkening of the vagina, elbows and knees all at the same time? Also this year I've also developed "freckles" on my arms, face and particularly my forehead. Forgot to mention - it's not due sun exposure - I'm sun sensitive, so I rarely go out into the sun, and if I do I put a good quality sunscreen and wear long sleeves and a hat, and always wear pants or jeans.

earthling is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThanks Rockaholic. I went to the endocrinologist today and they had no reason. I will be making an appt. with a gyno and looking into premenopause - yikes! ;-)

The only other thing I can think of besides what you mentioned is if your hormones have changed to a premenopausal state...it can do some strange things to your body. I would just wait and see what the doctor says rather than depend on this website.
