I have dated girls previously who have and they have been single, I have on the odd occasion but how many other women out there would have? I'm asking as I like this woman, who I presumed was married as she had a ring on that finger but after spending time with her it doesn't look like a wedding ring and she never mentioned her husband once, every conversation was 'I' did this and 'I' do that.....help?!

I've known women who thought wearing a wedding ring was a way to keep the men at bay so they wouldn't be hit on when they were out with their girlfriends, but that rarely works. My experience has been quite the opposite. The guys have no respect or care at all that you are wearing a ring that is supposed to represent being married and hit on you even harder. I really don't know if this is the case with women seeking women.
I personally don't play the game and I would not wear a wedding band on my finger.

I have been known to not wear my wedding band when married and to wear my mother's when NOT married....
Depends on the mood I'm in. Many folks do NOT wear wedding bands both men and women.
The best thing to do is ASK....

My husband hates wearing jewelry of any kind, including rings. Any hussy thinking he's single will find out quick, fast, and in a hurry. Always ask.

There are also plenty of ladies who wear promise rings on that finger, friendship rings, I knew one who wore her grandmothers wedding ring on that finger when she died.
if you want to know if someone's married, ask.
