And since teachers come and go all the time when you're at an international school, I would like to make a few cards mentioning my favourite things about their classes before they leave, and I saw teacher appreciation day coming up in May as an opportunity to do so.However, I'm indecisive about whether I should. First of all, am I too old to make teacher cards? I'm fifteen, and to me it seems as if teacher appreciation day is something more done in primary school. And do the cards even matter to them? My friends and I use to make teacher appreciation cards at the end of every semester, so the ones who have been teaching us for a while must have a lot of cards by now. We didn't make any cards around Christmas because my friends favourite teacher left and we had exams and my favourite teacher was "ill" (turns out she also left, but the school didn't tell us at first)I'm sorry, I know this isn't the biggest issue but I have no idea what to do and I need to decide before Easter break ends.I wouldn't put my name on the card, so they wouldn't think I'm trying to get on their good side that way.

I also remember each time someone says thank you for teaching me so much, I learned a lot, gave me a hug or a gift of thanks for my teaching. I have taught at all different levels and I still have gifts from years ago. Your teachers will appreciate this.

I think it's a VERY nice thing to do. My kids (16, 14 and 12) STILL do this. EVERY year. And not prompted by me. We usually add a $25 Starbucks gift card with it. NOY that they NEED that, but that is MY (as a parent) appreciation.
If you WANT to give the teacher a card because you feel appreciative OF them/her/him then DO so.
I think ANY good teacher worth his/her salt would like a card like that. No matter if they are "paid" to teach or not, GOOD teacher do more than "just" teach, they inspire, support and help kids/teens become better people.
