I don't know how good a cook you are, but stir-frys are pretty easy and very tasty. You just need noodles, boil them up. Fry some ingredients up in a big pan, whatever you like to eat. I reccomend bacon and mushrooms. Then add the noodles and fry until its ready! Then you can add any sauces you like to it.

If you've never really cooked for him before, he will be pleased at anything you cook for him. Guys (and girls too) are impressed just at the thought of it.
As for what to cook, can't really give you any ideas, because it
a) depends on what he likes and
b) depends on your capabilities as a cook
Just don't make anything out of a can or freezer. Try to make it mostly homemade (that doesn't count pasta sauce and things like that).
Some tips not to do with the food: atmosphere is really nice. So maybe light some candles with dinner and have some wine. And if you want to continue with the romantic theme, chocolate fondue is great for dessert - very little preparation and it's quite romantic and sensual.
If you are searching for recipe ideas, I personally like to use allrecipes.com since it has many many recipes and I can choose which one has the best reviews.
