A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

hi everyone, I need some advice here. I used to go to school with my mums best friends daughter 10yrs ago until we moved away, we were always so close, spent holidays together, did nearly everything together. She was 12 and I was 11 back then, we did do some things which we shouldn't of but we did stop before anyone found out. Turned out they moved away and I always missed her, though we managed to get back in contact with her family because both our mums are best friends. Sadly we all had a family reunite yesterday because her grandad had passed away.

When we were at the crematorium after the funeral had finished, she was in tears and I walked over and said hey jen, come here and we just threw our arms around each other and I said I'm so sorry and keep smiling because its what your grandad would want. That embrace between her and me felt so right but like old times when we were together. After that we didn't speak much at the house because so many people were there.

Later on after most people left, as she was getting ready to leave she come up to me and we hugged again. She did have a boyfriend but they broke up a while ago after 4yrs because it wasn't working and we kept glancing over at each other but didn't get the chance to speak much, we've both changed so much in 10years and she is so stunning it knocked me for six when I laid eyes on her yesterday. I want to try and talk to her about things but have no idea where to start, any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
