OP; Don't be embarassed, just bring it up casually when you're sitting in the living room with them, or as another poster said, tell them over the phone. They will probably ask you a few questions about him, but that's bound to happen! They wanna know who's taking out their (not so little) daughter, lol :). They don't have to meet him straight away if you're not comfortable with it, give it 1-3 months, if it progresses to then.
