Question - (14 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 14 January 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My ex boyfriend (of 6 yrs, we split up 3 years ago)just called me from the hospice to tell me his mother has just passed away. I was so close to her and am so upset. He gave a message to my brother the other day asking if i wanted to go and see her as she only had a few weeks left, but instead it turned into days, and my brother forgot to give me the message. I feel dreadful. I want to be there for him as I have lost many people close to me and I know how much he loved his wonderful mum. I told him he can contact me anytime but he has just started seeing another girl and is it my place to? My feelings for him have never faded and he tried it on with me last month but I declined because I wanted him to really want me. I just dont know what to do.

Please help x

teenageheartbreak agony auntMaybe your ex feels the same way about you as you do about him. There's a possibility that this new girl could just be a rebound after he was rejected by you and you seeing him at a time like this would show him that you still care, but go into this with your eyes open, and don't get too excited.

Be careful, act cool and collected, there's always room for a second chance.
