A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I have been dating my girlfriend for about 8 months. Things are pretty serious, we are best friends, and love each other.

I hold a full time job, currently live with my parents, and will be getting my own place soon.

Is it too early to ask her to move in with me?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (20 October 2008):

Get your own place, pay your own bills for a while, make sure everything is in your name.

She can stay over most nights if she wants and she'll probably end up moving in eventually but have the place as your own for a bit first.

It's a big step so doing it a bit gradually would be a better idea.

Good Luck!! xx
