I feel a bit of a mug as I was hoping to get to know him more. I know it's early days but am I best to avoid him or still be on friendly terms? I don't want to fall for him but ignoring him seems rude. Does that mean he must of known this woman longer than a month? I don't know if he has made up the relationship status to get attention. Just feel fed up at the moment.

Erm well him liking things on facebook doesn't mean that he was ever going to be interested romantically. I am really not sure why there is an issue. If you liked him why not make a move within the month to try and get to know him better?
Just accept he is with someone and move on. Be friendly with him if you like. Ignoring him seems a bit childish.

Hide his feeds or just stop checking out HIS Facebook.
It doesn't make you a MUG to think that he could have been interested, but it WOULD make you a mug if you actually give a flying fart about "being rude" to this guy. YOU barely know him (if I read your post correctly). Just either hide his feeds or block him, WHY the need to keep him around?
If a guy makes up a "relationship status" for attention then what kind of immature twat is he? Is he 12?
Eh, BE glad you dodged THAT bullet. Time to move on.
