A female reader, Wendyg United Kingdom +, writes (29 March 2007):

Wendyg agony auntWell maybe wait to see if he says hi to you first before pouncing ? If he doesnt iniate contact with you I would presume he wasnt interested and is only saying hi to you when you speak to him.

If he does make the first move all well and good. Maybe the next time you see him online try and chat a bit more openly about everyday things and see if can get him to open up. Not really sure that he would think you are stalking him if hes happy to talk to you.

Maybe relax a little and see what happens and try and wait for him to make the first move. He probably doesnt get a chance to say hi first as you probably see him and chat straight away. So if the pressure if off a bit Im sure he will chat to you and things should go from there.

Take care x
