I love her very much but I know it could never work!

I dont know what to do. I am an adult man age 55. My ex girlfriend is 49. We haven't see or talked to each other in 8 months. Last month she started to text me that she still loves and misses me. She just text me a week ago that she wants me to kiss and hug her.But she wont talk on the phone. She wont answer my calls so i gave up. We loved each other very much. But we could not get along. I still love her very much. But I know it will never work. We went out for 2 years. It was love at first sight. How could she still love me. We haven't seen each other for over 8 months. Then again I still love her too after 8 months. Please help me. I dont know what to do anymore.

It hurts, for sure, but the answer does't seem to be too complicated.

If you know things will never work with her, then all you're doing by having her in your life, or in your thoughts, is causing yourself pain and stress and that's no good.

In my opinion - If she sends you a message leading you on, and then won't return your phone calls, she is just emotionally harrassing you.

You need to block her phone numbers, emails, etc, and break contact from her. I know it hurts to do it, I've been there myself.

Love hurts, it's true, but in the end, it's for the best.
