reader, anonymous, writes (27 April 2008): I have the same problem! I hate it so much! People assume that I'm 11 or 12, though I'm really 15! They never believe me at first when I tell them my age, and it's so annoying. I don't know what makes me look so young. There are a lot of other short, skinny, a-cup, teens out there who still look their age. I've concluded that it's my face that's making me look younger, though I wear makeup, take care of my hair, and wear cute outfits. I don't think there's any solution to our problem. And I'm done growing too, so I'll never be tall, which would help make me look my age. Such a sad story! And the worst part is, there are all of these 11 and 12 year olds that look 15 or 16 and are twice my height! How did they get so lucky?

i have a friend with the same problem. theres no magical lotion,pill,or body wash to make you look older overnight, but thats okay. im sure your gorgeous and you have to learn to be comfortable with yourself just the way you are!!! girls are never happy with themselves no matter how perfect they might be. i know you probably get soooo jealous of your friends sometimes when your getting ready for a night out, and they can pull off just the right top, or makeup, that you dont think you could ever pull off, but the thing is theyre probly jealous of how cute you are!!!be happy with yourself !!!

 I always find a good haircut is a good place to start. Tell the hairdresser you're sick of looking young and you'd like something a bit more grown up. That's code for sexy without having to come out and say it but don't rush growing up too much. Your time will come.
