I like him so should I ask him-if he likes me or just wait it out?

A female United Kingdom, *__hikari writes:

So..

A few weeks ago I told my best guy friend that I liked him, because it was killing me inside just holding it all in. He didn't show a positive response when I told him, so I told him I don't want things to change between us (when I really did.) Afterwards, I asked how he was feeling and he said he had butterflies in his stomach and he said he doesn't know why he's feeling like this.

Since then, he's been really flirty with me and more interested in my life. For example, he'd say things like 'Nothings better than talking to you' and he'll always ask me how many kids I want and where I want to live in the future. He'll also get jealous when he sees me talking to other guys. I've never seen him like this before.

Now, I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should straight out ask him how he feels about me. But, with us, it always seems to me that I'm asking the personal questions and making confessions, so it looks like I'm the obsessive one.

Should I wait for him to come to me or should I ask him what he thinks about all this?

Thanks for the help. xxx

AngelofLove agony auntHe is displaying signs that he is interested in you, beyond being flattered stage I would say.

If you do not want to sound so obvious, when he next asks a personal question like having kids in future. Ask him direct then why does he want to know. That is the only way you will find out.

He may be waiting for you to make the next move, as when you told him how you felt, you also mentioned that you wanted no changes to your friendship. Give him a hint that you want to know how he feels and put the ball in his court.

Good luck xxx

kenny agony auntHi there, i think you should ask this guy how he feels, get it out in the open. I think from what you have said this guy really likes you, he is showing it to you through flirtatious gestures, and he even gets butterflies in his stomach, which is a major sign. it is obvious he is having trouble with the last bit of telling you how he feels, maybe he fears rejection or something.

I think you could be waiting a long time for this guy to get his feelings out in the open, so help him out and tell him how you feel.

I hope everything works out for you, and happy new year x
