writes:im 15 almost 16 and ive had my period for almost 2 months now...its comes and goes when it wants but its usually ever month but at different times and different flows but it has recently started 2 not come a month then it went 2 months now it is 3 months without my period and when i do get them now they are very light or extremly heavy that i have to change my pad like every half and hour :( please help is there something wrong with me....i told my mom but she didnt do anything and im a virgin

Also if you are too skinny then this can happen too
my friend is VERY skinny and didnt get hers for 6 months in her early years
so yes it is kinda normal depending on your body
also heavy and light will vary

reader, anonymous, writes (29 January 2011): Those really heavy periods are so awful--I'm sorry to hear you've been having them. My sister went through something similar, and she ended up going to a doctor who prescribed the Pill to regulate her hormones. It helped her immensely. Your cycle is off kilter, and waiting it out won't do anything but make you miserable. You need to see a doctor, too. S/he may have a different remedy for you than my sis' doctor did, but should be able to help you.
