writes:hi. im at uni, havin a good time with boy and girl mates but when it come to girls i "like" i find itn hard. This is because i am proper self concious even though i am told i am pretty good lookin and have a good personality i find it hard admitting to a girl i liker her because if she rejects me i will feel proper down. When i go out and get pretty trashed i find it no problem gettin off with random girls but i want a proper relationship like most of my mates and its hard for me cos im shy, any help wud be nice. x

Become friends first with the new potential partner. The rest will fall into place. Don't rush in. When the time is right ask the following question. " What would you say if I asked you out? " If she says yes then great. If she says no then just tell her you won't be asking her out then.
