A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been dating my boyfriend for almost a year. We have had our ups and downs, we have almost broken up, and we have almost gotten engaged. I love him with everything I have in me and he says he feels the same. I believe that he loves me. We are together all the time, like a couple of love sick teenagers, it almost grosses me out sometimes. He is always holding me, and telling me that he loves several times everyday. I have had a run of bad relationships before him, so I analyize everything he does. And I have come to the conclusion that he really does love me.

But for the past couple of weeks it's like one day it all stopped. He doesnt push me away or anything like that but the only time he says I love you is when i say it first. When we go to sleep he faces away from me. It's like the only affection he shows me now is when I initiate it. And I just have this feeling that something is wrong, but no matter how many times I ask he says he is fine. I have asked so much he is starting to get irratated with me. Did I do something wrong? Is he losing interest in me? I am scared he is going to leave me, and when I feel like that I tend to push people away out of fear of rejection. What should I do?
