kenny agony auntLike the other's told you, i agree i don't think that you should act on this at all. Its just a crush, and crushes tend to be short lived and fizzle away.

Just enjoy crushing on him, but don't act on it. If you still have this crush in 3 or 4 years which i suspect that you won't then act on it then.

Honeypie agony auntMy advice?

Stick to "just" having a crush on him. You are 16, he is 20. 4 years might not seem like a huge gap, but it IS at this age. Think about it, would you at 16, date a 12 year old? Because that is the same age gap.

Plus he is your friend's brother. If he hurt your feelings or doesn't treat you well or rejects you etc. that friendship is over. which would be an even bigger shame.

He doesn't acknowledge you as it is. This means you are probably not on his "radar" for "potential dating material" due to your age and maybe personality.

And... he might already have a GF. An even BETTER and BIGGER reason to stay clear.

If you want to date, find someone your own age.

What should you do?

If you're only 16, maybe wait a couple more years. You should definitely be sure he doesn't already have a girlfriend. If you don't know that, you shouldn't bother getting your hopes up until you do.

He's about 20! You should also keep your crush under control; so you won't be totally heartbroken, if he doesn't date girls your age, or you're not his type. In some places, the law says you're too young for a guy his age!
