A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My husband and I have been married for 2 years. About a month ago he came to me and told me he wasn't happy any more because I have a gambling problem. I told him I would stop gambling if he wouold give me a chance toprove to him, so I did and everything has been great till here recently I received an email from one of my very best friends telling me what and how I need to do it and I just ignored it. Well I get the cell phone bill in and there is texts and phone calls made to and from her. He says it is because she is trying to get back with her ex husband which is my husband's cousin but I don't understand what my husband can do for her because he doesn't even talk to him. It doesn't make sense why my husband would have a lot of texts to and from her and phone numbers from her and him when he can't even take the time out and talk to me while he is at work.

Another thing, she doesn't call or text while I'm home only when I'm gone so i don't understand? Can someone please give me advice? Am I being stupid, too jealous, what do I do to save my marriage because I'm hurt over all the bull. I feel I've lost my best friend now I'm about to lose my husband if something doesn't change.

Thanks a lot!

eyeswideopen agony auntIf she is your best friend then sit down and have a chat. It sounds pretty dang fishy to me. Tell her in no uncertain terms to leave your husband out of her romantic plans to reunite with her ex. He shouldn't be involved so tell him to knock it off as well. Then pay attention and see if they stop this nonsense. Good luck.
