Hi all,

I am SO bored of going out to pubs/bars/clubs every weekend. I do other things like work out and see friends and stuff but I really do feel like I'm missing out a lot of things in life.

Part of the reason, I suppose, is I'm at that horrible stage in my life when my mates aren't out as often as they used to be and most have sort of settled down. Some are married and my best mate even has a kid.

Thing is I think I've been sort of stuck in the same place for the last 5-6 years, since my Dad passed away, looking after his Mum, my Nan. She is 93 this year and it's a lot of hard work. I don't live with her because I couldn't bear it but I do live close by. About 6 months ago I managed to get some support through social services for her and she now has a full home-care package to take some of the burden off me.

I find myself going out every friday/saturday to just get out and I do enjoy myself but it just gets a bit boring after a while.

I've set myself some goals for 2008 and one of those is looking for a move in terms of my career (I have a 2nd interview for a better job on Friday which is fantastic). I also want to take up a hobby of mine again which I will be doing following payday which is also on Friday.

Thing is I really want to do things... Sounds a bit strange because although I say that I don't really know what it is I want to do exactly. Just stuff.

Holidays, weekend breaks, I don't know... Anything... Go to some gigs, theatre, days out, theatre, go see an opera, maybe try some dancing just for a laugh? Go skiing, surfing, anything. I feel I haven't really done anything over the last 5 years or so.

Does anyone else have these feelings? Is this like a mid-life crisis come early :)

Honey, it's unbelievably common! I feel like that every day and I'm even younger than you :P This is why people go and do amazing things, like work in Kenya for a year, or travel to Canada and bungee jump. So go out and fulfil your goals as soon as you can, is all the advise I can give. If you have the time and you have the money, the world is your oyster! You're time will come, to settle down, so make the most of being young and active. So yeah, go for it. Get this feeling gone :] good luck

NO offence or anything but your life is stuck in a bit of a rut right now and you want to o something interesting wth your life!

Well how about this - my parents went on a trip all over africa last year and it literally changed their lives! They went on a safari and went to see robin island and everything a definite worthwhile trip. well maybe you could go and find someone to look after your grandmother. or if not africa go somewhere you always wanted to go america, japan, china, austrailia etc.

i hope this helps!

Maybe you feel like everyone else has a family and is married except for you? Or do you just really want to have fun? I don't know.. but a lot of ppl. feel unsatisfied with their lives. Probably most or all of them feel that way.
