You are only 10 so I am guessing that her friend has asked you out for three possible reasons. 1.the girl you like might like you also but is too scared to ask you so has got her friend to ask you out to see if you like her or her friend.
2. Her friend likes you.
3.Her friend knows that this girl likes you but wants to compete.
I know its all confusing with three possibilities on offer so to cut the confusion tell the girl you like that you like her. Simple.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 February 2008): Have you said yes to her best friend? If not, then it is up to you. Ask the other girl out or just go for her best friend, but i dont think anyone can decide for you. Life is too short and if you are 10-12 then you are a bit too young for all this dating and adult stuff anyway. The decision has to be yours.
