A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hey everyone! Ok so heres my problem. Ive been with my boyfriend for about 3 years now, love him too bits and we still have an great sex life.

The only problem is that about a year ago my sex drive took quite a major dip! I got my drive back now, but ever since then i feel like im lacking the confidence to take control!

I mean i used to ride him like crazy (hehe) but now even the thought of going on top makes me worried that i can't do it properly or that he thinks im not good at taking the lead any more! Theres like a little voice in my head thats gets in the way everytime that distracts me! I just don't understand where my confidence has gone! Does this normally happen after youv'e gone though a period of low sex drive? Any tips on how to get my confidence back? Any advice would help please! Thank you :)

I couldn't remark on the low sex drive; it is possible it got you out of the swing of things. I'd recommend taking extra time on your self... get to the spa, do a little pampering, take a little time everyday to put on your favorite body creams, pick out comfortable, lovely clothing... exercising in the way of your enjoyment could also do wonders for your confidence, if only to loosen you up physically, stretch you out, and give you a bit more energy/optimism, especially if your the sort that cheers up when out of doors, in the sun shining... :)

If you feel falter- y when "on top", perhaps pull your boyfriend's hands to your waist or hips and have him guide your rhythm... so you don't feel so on your own...
