A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

well im having a problem with choosing who i want to ask out and i was wondering what your thoughts were.

There is GIRL 1 who liked me for a long time but she was kinda flirty so i decided to go out with my ex gf until we broke up a few months ago and now GIRL 1 is talking to me and telling me that she has always liked me and has changed.

GIRL 2 works with me and is 2 years younger than me, she is really nice and pretty but she is going away to college in a few months to a college that is about 3 1/2 hours away, im not sure if i should set my heart up for it to be hurt in a few months.

Then there is GIRL 3, who has liked me for a few months but has had a boyfriend, but she broke up with her boyfriend last week because he didnt really notice her or do special things with her. she is really nice as well and has a good sense of humor, but she is also 4 years older than me and has a kid.

What should i do, is it possible for me to date a older girl with a kid?, i am 20 and i dont see a problem with it but im not sure if she would not like dating a younger guy. what should i do?

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (7 July 2008):

You are asking a girl to go out with you, not buying a car!! If you have no strong feelings towards any of them then stay single. You can't play with their hearts just because you've picked them as the safest option.

If you loved any of them the way they'd want you to love them then there would be no confusion in your mind.

Stay single and grow up. When you feel real feelings toward a woman then you'll know.

Good Luck!! xx
