I have a lateral thigh trainer that I often use, and i've started exchanging snack type food for fruit and just eating healthier I suppose. My problem is that I don't have the will power to keep it up. I understand that to loose weight for the long term, I have to stick to the exercise and diet plan but I find it really hard.Does anyone have any tips to keep to it? Reply to this Question Share |

Thin people dont have will power, you are over eating cause its is probably a form of stress relief for u, and the more u ban urself from eating the more u want it which causes a cycle. I suggest u take the pressure off and make better choices in ur diet, enjoy eating. When u go eat dont eat the whole meal, get a box a soon as they serve it to u and take the rest home for dinner or lunch the next day. as u eat less, ur stomach will get full faster and u will find urself eating less and less and losing weight without going on a diet. take it easy and slow. Look online and observe how thinner eat and follow there habits. good luck!!!!!! stop dieting

No you don't have to stick to a "diet plan" or an "exercise plan". You have to adjust your lifestyle to something that works for you and something that you actually enjoy doing. Otherwise it's not going to work.
First, as has already been mentioned, check whether you really are overweight and by how much. If it's not a lot, then you shouldn't worry too much. Despite what the supermodels might have you believe, most men (and women) prefer a partner who isn't all sharp edges. The word is "cuddly", not "fat".
Secondly, there are many types of exercise that don't have to be followed rigorously and will burn off calories like anything (sex is one of them, but I'm not suggesting you necessarily use that as your main way of losing weight - it's just a thought!!). Find something you actually enjoy doing. As far as I can see there's nothing more soul-destroying than meticulously following set exercises or jogging set distances for no other reason than to control weight. Find a type of exercising that has some purpose other than weight control. Train for a run or a marathon to raise money for charity maybe, or something like that. Or find an activity that takes your interest as a hobby.
Thirdly, DON'T skip meals and don't cut out fats etc completely. Your body gets confused, and starts using food more efficiently - i.e. converting more of it to fat. Also, avoiding fats and missing meals will most likely cause other problems - like gallstones which solidify if the body isn't called on regularly for the fluids that digest fats. Believe me, I speak from personal experience when I say that gallstone pain isn't something you EVER want to experience.

You should look up Your BMI (body mass index) online. Use google to find websites with a BMI calculator. Your BMI score will tell you if you are at a healthy weight, over weight, or in the category of obessity.
