I've stopped using facebook for a couple of weeks and then came back as it's not possible to simply ignore the world. Now, checking her page is one of the first things I do.How do I stop?

Finally I decided on the following:If you go to Start - RunYou can type notepad C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hostsAdding the following two lines at the end of the text file blocks access to facebook from any browser on the computer:127.0.0.1 facebook.com127.0.0.1 www.facebook.comSo I jotted down all the events and birthday from FB on my agenda and then "black listed it". Hopefully this will work.

I don't feel comfortable causing her further pain by asking to remove her from my friend list. It's been a month and I don't think she's over it yet. I feel that since I brought this on I have to suck up "this issue" on my end. I guess I don't have any other options other than this one yet I can't go through with it so I guess I'll have to endure it until it fades.

The only option is to remove her as a friend, it's the only way to stop temptation.
I don't think she would find it insulting if you sent her a message to explain why you are doing it. I'm sure most people have been in your situation and would understand.
