writes: I'm 18 and i have a crush on a guy i work with, but there are a couple issues. first one, he's 26. even though i don't think the age difference is a big problem, everyone else does (including my mom who i am extremely close to). i consider myself as a very mature 18 year old, who isn't all out for parties and fun, so i really think i could get through the age difference. second, i can't tell if he has feelings for me at all, and i'm almost sure that HE KNOWS that i have a crush on him. see, everyone always jokes around at work, so we're always joking with each other, but sometimes, things he does seem more like flirting than just joking. i can't figure out if maybe he does like me, but thinks along with everyone else that the age difference is too much so hasn't made a move, OR if he just doesn't like me therefore hasn't had any reasons to make a move...what should i do? should i try to forget these feelings that i have or should i pursue them? and if i should pursue them, what next step should i take to finding out his feelings?

You're 18, an adult. If you want to date a 26 year old, that is your business and nobody elses. The only thing that matters in a relationship is the two people involved, and if they're comfortable with the relationship themselves.
That being said, you need to find out how he feels about you, and the best way to do this is just ask him plain and simple. Good luck!
