There is a very reduced fee, treatment can start from as little as £6 - £12. It's not as expensive as you think. If you are unemployed and on benefits, or under 19 and still in school, you may have to pay very little or maybe nothing at all..
If the worse comes to the worse, find your nearest dental hospital, and turn up there as an emergency.

There's a search tool for NHS dentists on that page. I was under the impression that your dental was covered by the NHS.
You may have a nasty infection, and you might as well get it properly treated rather than wind up with worse damage just because you didn't get the treatment you deserve.
Let us know how you get on with finding a dentist.

Yes, please visit the dentist. There are plenty of dentists that offer really great treatment and billing plans for you that can fit almost any situation. Our a href="http://www.curvedental.com"dental billing software/a even comes with education videos to inform you about the billing plan that is best for you. Just find a dentist that is willing to work with you and your situation because they are definitely out there.

When it comes to anything with your health, it is better to go get a check up! Or else things can get worse. So budget carefully, stop eating if you have to, and get yourself to the dentist, one way or the other. At least I can tell you this, it's not the nerve that is messed up, because if it was then aspirin wouldn't have helped, so thats good. I had to do a root-canal recently and I even tried morphine to lower my pains but even that didnt stop the pain. If your aspirin stops working and no pain-killers work, thats a sure sign that its the nerve of the tooth, and having a root-canal is expensive. I will advice you to either pull some money out of your savings or try and get economical support from the government somehow. If not then from friends and family. Perhaps there is a dentist somewhere where you can pay on down payment and not all at once? Make some calls around to different ones and hear their prices as well as how you could pay for it.

No over the counter drugs will work well on toothache.
You may be able to get free treatment. Phone NHS direct on 0845 4647 and explain your in pain but cant afford a dentist they will give you numbers to call.

I have terrible teeth and practically live in the dentist chair! One thing I learned from my dentist is that those OTC cavity fillers are dangerous. Many times the pain is from an infection, and those fillers just seal the infection in! If there is an infection than you want it to be able to drain out. Gross, but true.
A clinic or doctor could probably give you an antibiotic to clear up any infection. A dentist would do that before he/she would fill or pull anyway.
Last, avoid acidic food as it will just irritate it further. Also stay away from really hot or cold food/drink. That can irriate the nerve. OUCH!
I feel your pain. Check with community agancies because most places have low to no cost dental treatment based on need. Good luck!

Also, why not try something like ibuprofen which is much more effective than what you took.

You are in pain and i doubt they would turn you away if you are lacking funds right now - they may just give you a bill to pay later. We actually do something similar with the vets when something goes wrong with one of our pets and they let us paid 10 pounds a week. Worth a shot than just sitting there in pain.
