writes:i need help, i've had a major crush on a guy in my year for ages and ages and i'm always put next to him in class n stuff but lately i've been getting the impression he like me 2. i've read about ways of seein if your crush fancies u n i think he does.but i need help cos i'm rubbish with words around him and i dont wanna mess this up. can anyone give me ideas about what sorta things i should talk to him about just to avoid any uncomfortable silences? also i know lots of ppl will tell me to go ahead n ask him out but i quite shy n would rather not so is there to make him more comfortable around me? i'm not really sure what to ask i just dnt feel really confident around him. i'm just neva sure wat 2 tlk about that wont make him think im wierd in anyway. i always end up sayin somethin realy stupid but he hasnt given up on me yet! maybe some guys wont mind givin me tips? thnx 4 any answers! x.

Here are a few tips on what I would suggest you ask:
-Does he play any sports?
-Places you both like to go
-Movies that are coming out
-Talk about your teachers (I know it sounds gay but in school its fun to talk about your teachers)
-If your schoolyear is almost over you can ask about plans over summer
Try to keep the conversation upbeat and comical. The absolute BEST way to break the ice is to be funny and nice.
And then after you guys have talked (assuming it was a good conversation), ask him if he has texting. If he says yes then get his cell #, it's really not as hard as everyone makes it out to be and I've met very few people who actually refuse.
