Something new is always exciting but you also have to realize what it is that you may be giving up which is your wife of 7 years and your 5 year old daughter. Think about whether a stranger is worth risking everything you've ever worked for all those years.
In any case, open communication and honesty can always produce a favorable outcome. You guys may be having issues that are not being resolved and are being set aside. Think about counseling.
Bottom line is whether you want to lose what you have now. You can't have it both.
