I am in love with my bestfriend's boyfriend

Question - (28 February 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 28 February 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My best friend in the whole world, Christine, started texting this guy Oliver about 9 months now. They kind of had an off and on thing but they never really dated. Then one day randomly they just started going out. Theyve been together for about 6 months now. They are really cute together and they make each other happy for the most part, at least when they're together. Although they have fights more than twice a week on average. Oliver thinks Christine will cheat on him and Christine thinks Oliver is going to cheat on her. They both get mad when they talk to other people and they always threaten to break up. And the sad part is I always kind of want them to break up in my heart. I've known Oliver for about 6 and a half months. We started hanging out a lot when Christine and him got together because I would always be with Christine. He was my best friend right away. We always have the deepest conversations and always laugh together. We have the same mindset and he is the sweetest guy. He always tells me how much he loves me for being there for him and sometimes it feels like we're the ones in the relationship. I think Christine can sense this because she always asks me who I like even though she knows Im not interested in anyone and she asks me if I ever had feelings for Oliver. I know eventually they are going to break up because neither of them are happy in the relationship, but do you think it is okay for me to be with Oliver after they break up? Not right away of course, but id I wait a while after they separate. Is that wrong? Because I love him so much.
