writes: I(38) was having a drink in a bar in late November of last year. At around 12, a young lady enters wearing decorative antlers (Christmas was in the air) on her head. Very pretty (Veronica, 20) and she seemed to be good friends with the waitress.During the course of the evening, we chat a bit, but I was just there to listen to music and drink. She looked at me a few times and smiles and I smiled back, but at the end of the night I said goodnight and went my way.During the following months, I frequented the bar often and became friends with her waitress friend(Maria). One night in February, Maria invited me over to her place for board games with her friends. Maria and her friends are all in their mid to late 20's, so i was a bit older. Still, we have common interests and they seemed to accept me into the group.Imagine my surprise when I see that Veronica(the pretty 20 year old) is Maria's room mate!Anyway, I am a teacher and it comes out that Veronica is looking for a new tutor for some English lessons. We work out an arrangement and I start tutoring her once a week for a few hours. She is a bright girl, but very much in party mode.I find her attractive, but also enjoy her company. The thing is, the last few weeks we have been going to "our" bar after out lessons and drinking a bit.Last Wednesday,as we were leaving, we were walking to her home(she lives near the bar) and it was really late. At one point she grabs and hold my hand and we walked until her place. When we got there she said goodnight. She didn't invite me up or anything, but I have a feeling she is expecting me to take the lead. Now,as I have said, I find her attractive, and I think she is attracted to me too. With this in mind, I don't see why we shouldn't have some fun, regardless of our age difference. How do you view this situation? Thanks

But whilst you are in a position of power over her then it would be unethical for you to pursue this.If you wish to pursue this, then your only option is to suggest she finds another tutor so that whatever ethical and legal binds that keep you apart are dissolved.Flynn 24

I think that as a tutor you are in a position of trust no matter what age your student is! If she as a consenting adult makes the first move then fair play, but if you make the first move I feel that would be a little creepy and not professional at all.
