How to tell kids their mother isn't coming back?

I have bin holding this off but how do you tell a 9 and a 3 year old their mother left them and is not coming back. I realized I should tell them when I was writing my last question

Ok I was wrong my sister the 9 years old is mad at me becuse I dident tell her but I thinks she just mad at the fact she's never gona come balk

im 16 years old and you know what i did tell them and they undersud and they were happy that i was goan eb there for them ya my dad sat with me and he expalned it to them

If you are 13 to 15 then YOU do not tell them.

You get the adult who is looking after them to tell them. You an be there with them but you are too young to deal with this big an issue.

If you are not 13 to 15 then do what Gina said.
