A female United States age 36-40, *ragic Rabbit writes:

Okay, I know almost every month I have some question about pregnancy, but it is my one big fear in life.

With that said, on to the question:

A few days ago I almost had unprotected sex. I say almost becuase we were fooling around and one thing led to another and there was penetration. He pulled out imediatly but me being paranoid it was enough to make me worry.

Now it's about 3 days later and I am feeling kind of sick. Smells are really getting to me and making me nauseous and I feel almost motion sick. not enough to acutaly throw up but enough to make me worry this could be morning sickness.

so I guess this is really 2 questions

1)given the circumstances, am I being paranoid that our 'close call' was too close? also if it helps at all, I'm at the tail end of my cycle and I know that the very beginning and end it's hard to get pregnant

and 2)Is it too early to be experiencing morning sickness, since I read somewhere that it takes almost a week after conception before you are actually 'pregnant'

Okay for those of you who gave me real advice, thank you

for those of you who decided to take this as an opportunity to pass judgments like I'm some irresponsible kid, I don't appreciate it.

For one thing, this is my HUSBAND I'm talking about, so it's not like I'm sleeping around unprotected. for another I do use protection, condoms and until it started making me sick I was on the pill. We weren't PLANNING on having sex at the time, hence why it was an 'accident'. I'm not angry, but if anyone else wants to pass judgment instead of giving me real advice, please keep that in mind

Dawnie agony auntHi you would not have morning sickness 3 days after unprotected sex. It's most likely that you are worrying about being pregnant and that is causing you to feel like this. You need to visit your GP and sort out some method of contraception, the pill is pretty reliable or maybe contraceptive injections. Your GP will advise you on what to try. Just make sure that in the meantime until you are protected against pregnancy you practice safe sex.

eyeswideopen agony auntFor crying out loud, if you are so afraid of getting pregnant why on earth aren't you on some form of birth control? In this day and age when the pill is free and there are tons of other options there is NO excuse other than rape for an unplanned pregnancy. Go to the nearest Family Planning Clinic and get on the pill.

You're talking to the queen of paranoia here haha I cant tell you how much I put myself through every month when my period is due, I worry like Hell that I'm pregnant because I know my mother would absolutely kill me. But back to your question.. To be honest, if its only 3 days its practically impossible to be noticing signs yet, and what I have found is that worrying makes you feel physically ill, and you notice things wrong with you that you would not notice if you werent looking for them if you know what I mean. So my advice to you is stop worrying honey, I'm sure he didnt even have time to ejaculate. But ask him to make sure. Really, try not to worry. I can almost guarentee you're not pregnant. Good luck :]
