writes:I think i may be lesbian or bisexual. Though I don't know if i should tell my mom because she doesn't like her family to be gay she wants family to be a 100% straight. My sisters idk if they mind. My rest of the family thinks gays are really bad so I'm lost and don't know what to do HELP!

 I agree with Marieclaire. Your family don't really need know yet. just carry on as you are and deal with telling them only when it becomes completely necessary.

reader, anonymous, writes (7 April 2010): You are still very young and may not even know yourself yet - don't get too wrapped up in labels and coming out etc, just be you and in a few years you are certain and want to share, go for it. Hopefully then you'll be old enough to handle then any bad reactions but remember you are their child, regardless of everything, they'll still love you. I think wait it out a few years before publicly outing yourself - just live a little more just to be certain. I am not saying hide but neighter is it a good idea to shout it from roof tops when you yourself are not sure.
