Three years ago I started dating an amazing girls named Jessica. We had a great relationship, she was sweet, fun no always up for an adventure. You can say I have always flirted with danger, I live for excitement but I needed up getting mixed up with drugs and my life and relationship soon spiralled out of control. About 16 months into our relationship things got really bad, I lost my job and drugs were slowly taking over my life. Jessica told me she couldn't live like that anymore and left but she offered to help me get the help I needed to get my life back in order. She took me to a rehab, attended counselling sessions with me, was there at midnight with coffee when I was having a rough time. We became friends. She dated a few guys over the next two years and it was heart breaking to see that but I knew I couldn't be the guy she needed.

I've been clean / sober for 17 months now, I have a job and a new apartment.

About two months ago Jessica told me how much she missed us as a couple and we have been dating ever since.

Her family and friends are not happy that we are back together. Wen we dated the first time they liked me, even when I was in Rehab and getting help they would say hi if we ran into each other but now that we are dating they think she is making huge mistake. They don't think I have her best interest at heart and they worry that I'll relapse and out her thin again.

I understand their worry so I need to show them that this time around I won't be messin it up. How can't get the approval of her friends and family again.

You're just going to have to prove them wrong. Baking cookies won't get you out of this.
