I suggest you make a list of what went wrong in the previous relationship;
make a list of what you can do to improve; to avoid the same problems or mistakes;
then make another list of "what do you want in the perfect partner, qualities etc"
Then get out there and start looking for that guy to match your list; or at least most of the criteria on your list; (as there is nobody perfect and seldom a 100% match but try for at least a 80% score)
Have fun, when you meet guys, tick the qualities of your list and start comparing them with your list; rahter tehn your ex.
Good Luck!

I would need some more information....who ended the relationship and what were the terms?? have you seen him since the breakup?
Normally, it takes awhile to get over someone you've been with for that long, especially if you lived with them,were engaged etc.
The bottom line is that it looks like you still need some time, which is expected after a long relationship like that. I think if you find yourself comparing your new relationships to the one you had with your ex, you should take some time for yourself, and start dating again when you're over the whole thing.
I hope that this helps.
