writes:There is this guy in my university that I have been noticing for the past few months. I know that he is the same nationality as me. He knows this too but we have never been introduced. I see him only once a week because we have classes that are across from eachother. He holds doors for me and is so polite if he thinks he is in the way. Remember, we have never had a conversation!! For the past few weeks we have been parking near one another. I am the shy type and instead of saying good morning like a normal person i pretend I dont see him and ignore him. The next week we parked in the same spots and this time when I finally built up the strenth to say something he ignored me. I guess my question is how do I redeem myself and start a normal conversation without sounding like I am a stalker or weird?

well he's probably shy too, maybe he didnt know you were talking to him, and didnt want to look dumb if you werent. just talk to him, if hes as polite as you say im sure he will talk back. dont wait to long you never know when someone else will swoop in and take him.
or you can pull a clumsy girl move, and carry loads of books from your car, walk next to him and get a little in front of him and trip slightly and drop all of your books, odds are he will help you pick them up and you can start a convo from there...
