If its a behavioural thing you do, such as the way you stand, talk etc then you could look at changing those behaviours to be more assertive. But yeah, this is hard to answer not knowing what it is they actually find intimidating about you.

 Well, allow me to offer my personal observation. Most of my adult life has been as a married man (23 years or so). Otherwise, I have always responded to the women who took notice of me, and have spent thousands of nights in bed with them. Maybe they were not the ones I "fancied" the most, but it sure as hell beats loneliness anytime.
