writes: How can you tell if a guy just considers you as a good friend or something more? I met a guy in October and we've been emailing each other pretty much every day since then. He lives in another city, but occasionally comes down to where I live cuz his family is here. We met up once and he held my hand while we were skating. I went away on a trip and he said he would miss talking to me; he still Emailed and text messaged me when I didn't have internet access on my trip. I like him a lot, but don't really know where it's headed, or if he just considers me a good friend. He's also 14 years older than me. I'd really like to spend New Year's Eve with him doing something like skating or whatever...but don't know if and how I should bring it up? I know he usually spends it with his family. Any advice would be much appreciated....thanks.

 By the looks of it, he seems to like you too and you might be heading towards a loving relationship. Next time you talk to him, ask him casually what he is doing on New Years, drop a subtle hint as to how you would enjoy being with him that day, If he takes the hint, he might just have been waiting for the same opportunity .
