Previously to that she would smile at me when we passed each other at work. We always will smile and say high to each other when we pass each other or if we are not close and spot each other we exchange a smile. And in the cafeteria I caught her looking at and she quickly looked away when we made eye contact. Then when I walked past her we both smiled and said hello. The other day I was away from my desk and she walked past me and I glanced over towards her but initially didn't notice it was her and glanced away. She said Hi and I looked up and she had a smirk on her face and I replied with a hello and an equally embarressed look. A couple minutes later we passed each other again and she gave me a huge smile and I did the same. Normally I would just go upto a girl in this situation and talk to her. However working together makes it sort off tricky because I do not want to make her uncomfortable. I can tell by the way she interacts with other people that she is shy(when I see her in the cafeteria she will often sit by herself or if she is with people she seems to keep to herself). Anyways to wrap it up is this girl interested or just being friendly? And how should I try to talk to her without making it seem like i'm hitting on her?

she seems interested however if you work wth her i wouldnt advise a relationship. if your both single then theres no harm in flirting until you know for sure if she likes you. i wouldnt ask her out just yet, juat talk to her about general things, since you work together it should be easy to talk coz you do the same thing and you will have mutual colleagues. keep me updated. x
