You seem to have difficulty in trusting men,why? Is there anything that happened that made you suspicious of all men?
Don't allow fears, insecurities and negative thoughts to make you suspicious of all men.
I think you should not rush into a relationship with the guy, but give yourself enough time to get to know him well; trust is something that will develop over a period of time; you will learn to trust him (if he is trust worthy); the better you get to know him the easier it will be.
Be patient and don't rush; take it step by step.
