Hey dude,

I have been having acne problems as well. This may sound crazy, but "toothpaste" helps clear up your face. I have tried it myself, and my face has shown improvement.

candyshopp agony aunttry proactive, lots of my friends say its really good

with self confidence, thats more of somthing that you just should stop worring about, just go out there and have fun. dont put ur self down, by the way u look, because many girls will see past the acne, and see the real guy inside of u!

Toria agony auntI've always just used soap and water on my face everyday and never suffered from acne where as my cousin uses cleansers and things and gets them all the time so I believe that a mild soap is better for your skin as alot of products can make your skin greesy and therefore causing spots.

Hi, I too have had acne and I had it as an adult, not a teenager, which is particularly painful and embarassing, so unlike other posts I do empathize with how this hurts your confidence, because it does. Worse I am female and am expected to have clear and smooth skin as the feminine ideal and I do not, I have scarring and still occasionally get acne...The way I have built confidence is to accept that about myself and I make up for it by being well groomed and having a youthful fun personality, and I am always quite popular at work and among friends, so if you show that this does not bother you about yourself than others won't think much of it either....I seriously doubt that girls are not talking to you because of your acne, it is probably because they lack confidence themselves! I wish there were as many treatments for acne as there are now when I had the worst of it. I strongly suggest that you find a good dermatologist that can provide a treatment for you, you may be able to prevent it and control your outbreaks. Try to get plenty of rest, and drink lots of water, don't wash your face too hard, but keep your hands and face clean especially after excercising, as sweat often aggravates acne..and try not to stress out over it, a lot of people have gone through the same thing.

Wild Thaing agony auntGetting rid of the acne will have no effect on your efforts to build your self-confidence.

Confidence comes with caring less about what others think and caring more about carving out your own path in life. When you do the latter, people tend to notice a positive change in your attitude and will likely admire you - not that you will be affected by (or need) the admiration by that point. It really is simple advice for a powerful goal, but requires hard work to to achieve.

By the way I am 39 years old and have been blessed (okay cursed) with a resurgence of my acne. It's quite inconvenient but not at all embarrassing. And for someone my age it is a slightly amusing experience. For what it's worth my doctor prescribed a topical cream call clind-oxyl. Hopefully it won't be like the first time (when I was teenager) and take years to resolve...

Good luck and take care.

CherryVanilli agony auntHey this is a normal phase & it goes away as you grow, however do not ever play in them or sqeeze them cos this way they could leave a scar!

Also make sure u wash ur face regularly using anti acne foam or jel or soap, also use clearsing tonic, however this might dry ur face but it's okay cos it'll also dry away the acnes & when theyr gone u can then put moisturiser all over ur face, but try to avoid putting anything oily on ur face while u have acnes, just put things that will dry them off...

Also put in mind that is totally normal! & it happens to EVERYBODY at a certain time in their lives!!! so be happy cos u got them now instead of not knowing when u'd get them...now u can treat them & get rid of them hopefully :)

take care :)
