reader, anonymous, writes (13 December 2006): hooking up has alot of different meanings. like to hang out with as friends, or go out with thm. it also can mean to make-out. one time my b/f asked me that and i thought it meant to hang out, but he meant hooking up as in making out (french kiss).

I totally agree with willywombat, it really can mean anything. To hook up can mean just to meet up, or it can mean to go out with. Its just how you interpret it as she says, I couldnt put it better myself!! xXx

I think it's when u like somebody so much u cannot thing of anyone else or u're always remindind this person and trying to be with him her all the time it's like a crush but more emotional or psychological, it's cool when u both are hooked but.... not always happens

I have a friend who says that. She'll say, 'we'll have to hook up sometime and do this or do that' It just means to get together with someone and do stuff. Doesnt have to mean you're married or having a relationship. Its quite a general term.

It is a term which is quite generic. It can mean meeting your friends, being with a BF or married..... anyhting, just depends on you interpretation.
