My first question must be: Has his member always smelled bad?
Because if not, then something must have changed, such as the possibility of an STD (sexually transmitted disease) as suggested by others. Otherwise, I think it must be either genetic (hereditary) or poor cleaning. A dick is just skin, and in my opinion, should not smell bad under normal circumstances. No woman has ever complained such to me, but I have no experience with other men.

Yes he could have a STD - this puts you at risk as much as him. Please get to a doctor and both get checked out. Also DO NOT try the tootpaste method it WILL burn - trust me. I think that something must be wrong if even after washing it still smells.... dont have sex again until you get checked out - some pharmacies even give out free infection test kits you can use at home. Dont even have protected sex and dont have oral either. Hope you sort this out soon! Good Luck - B x

simply let him rub it with soap preferably traditional olive oil or bay leave soap as they are even better
from regular soap
it is as simple as that
