I have been with my husband for almost two years now and have put on a few more pounds (as has he). He has never once said anything about my weight yet he has recently started making comments about women on television being overweight. Do you think he is trying to tell me something?

Maybe.
You should confront him about these comments and if he has a problem with you being overweight then perhaps you could suggest going on a diet together or exercising together.
Clever hint, sex burns a lot of calories =]

I have always been slightly large and tried to lose weight but always end up the same.
Ask your husband why he is making comments about this woman being overweight and if it bothers him that you are slightly larger. If he is don't just lose weight to please him, he should love you for who you are.
Theres nothing wrong with being a large girl. Most men find girls with curvs more attractive. Be proud to be the shape you are!
Good luck

He might be, he might not, either way, if you have put on a few more pounds than your body is used to, then it is in your (and his) interest for BOTH of you to get a dog for a day and head out to the country and go for a long walk, or a swim or a cycle.
There is nothing wrong with being naturally big, but if you know your shape and you have added a bit to that them you are risking big problems.
You don't want him to drop dead of a heart attack so kick his arse away from the TV and go outside and play with your kid and have fun running about! It's nearly summer time so head out to the park.
If you don't change your diet but add a little exercise in then you will be able to build some muscle tone and that means you burn extra calories just sitting down and breathing.
Good Luck!! xx
