Hey everyone, I have a question. I've met this really nice guy and our main interests are the same but there are big differences too. after having a difficult time with my last ex I thought I'd never move on but this new guy makes me laugh and is very sweet. He's not at all my type looks wise - infact he's not that attractive to me at all but his personality is! Do you think it could work out?

snowbird agony auntHi, I met my man through a dating website and although he didn't post his picture, his profile was interesting and he seemed to have all of the criteria I was looking for in a guy. I e-mailed him, he sent me a picture and I thought...well..?!! What to do... Not my type at all, but he had two eyes,a nose and a mouth, and after thinking (and e-mailing for a while - and he had put me in his 'favourites') I agreed to meet him. He was short to boot, and I always go for tall guys, and I was NOT attracted to him in the LEAST!!

9 months down the line and here I am - seriously considering spending the rest of my life with him!! He is the kindest, most thoughtful guy, and I am VERY happy with him - and - I DO find him EXTREMELY sexy!!! (All together now - Awwwwh!) Yes, a happy ending - go for it girl, just take it slow and see how it goes..and I'd LOVE to hear how you get on!!

Bev Conolly agony auntYes, it surely can. Appreciation of a person's looks are totally a matter of taste, and your taste may alter over time. If he turns out to be a wonderful man and makes you laugh and treats you like a queen... well, you might find that your opinion of his looks softens quite a lot!

And besides, as people age, they lose their looks anyway. Check out your grandpa -- bet he was hot stuff in his day, and the woman that loves him still thinks he is!

So give this guy a chance. You might find that 'ugly is only skin deep'!
