writes: hiI've read loads in mags and stuff about getting discharge a year before you start your periods, is this true?If it is I have been getting discharge for more than a yr! It is a yellowish brownish color and has a slight smell.I hate itPlease help!

it sounds like it could be an infection slash you coming onto your periods but the best advice i could give is go see your gp about this he / she will be able to advise you better than we could as we are only guessing.. hope that helps aphex xx

You see, everybody's body develops at different speeds. That magazine was giving a guesstimate by the AVERAGE time girls have that discharge. But everybody's different, and so you are perfectly fine.
If you are really really worried about it however, I suggest asking a doctor. A doctor can give you much more accurate information about your body than a magazine.
