 i wouldnt trust him if i were you. dont base trust on the fact that he said he loves you. that is easy to say, it is only words. if someone SHOWS you they love you though that is different. are you still seeing him? you said it had been a month, that is a very short time. the fact that you are on here asking whether to trust him should be telling you something!
