I havent seen him in any of my classes, but he always looks me right in the eye, smiles and says hello everytime I see him (which is frequently). I smile and say hello back, but we never actually stop to talk. Im so shy, so I keep walkng. Id like to get to know him, but dont know how to go about it. Im afraid that he doesnt want to get to know me, maybe hes just being friendly by saying hello? Any advice?

For all you know, this guy may feel the exact same way. Try not to let your shyness get the better of you. One thing i've learnt is that sometimes, the guy can be as shy as the girl, sometimes he may not. My ex told me (when we were going out, that when we first met (we used to always see eachother but never talk, only make eye contact) he told me he was EXTREMELY shy that's why he never spoke, and he thought I wasn't interested, but really, i was!
Next time you see him, try and stop when you say hello rather than waling straight past, ask him how he is, let the conversation flow naturally, and if it gets awkward after he asks how you are as well, and the conversation seems to be leading nowhere, ask what course he takes at the uni or something. You never know what might happen unless you try! If you don't try, you'll only kill yourself thinking, "what if"
Good luck :)
