If it's been 6 years and he hasn't said "I love you", but emotionally abuses you when he's upset, he's not worth your time. It's hard, but confront him about everything, and if after that nothing changes, you need to get out.

reader, anonymous, writes (24 July 2006): If he takes out his bad moods on you - assuming you didn't do something to upset him and cause a bad mood - it sounds as if he doesn't really value your relationship. You say you "love him to death" but evidently he does not feel the same way.Do you really want to be in that sort of relationship? Is it worth it to put up with this kind of treatment??
